Gender Watch

The gender map shows that there's still many more countries in the world where girls are more disadvantaged than boys, particularily in Africa, where it is still believed that sending a girl to schools is worthless. For women and girls, equitable access to ICTs and education can mean greater participation in development and better access to information, thus improving the status of women in society.
