The role of the course
co-ordinator and mentor
is firstly, to enable
the learners to access
this full web-based course
environment online course.
During this pre-workshop
stage of the course, constant
maintenance of contact
with course participants
and logistical support
in implementing the course
will be ensured. The co-ordinator
will also ensure that
access to all materials
required for the course
is available on the CD-Rom.
Secondly, during the
five-day hands-on training
workshop, the co-ordinator
will focus on intensive
interaction between participants
and facilitators, providing
participants unique opportunities
to work through practical
activities, share experiences
and problems with their
peers, and shape the learning
environment so that it
meets their specific requirements.
Thirdly, following the
face-to-face session,
the co-ordinator and mentor
will facilitate continued
online interaction for
a further two months.
