Open Source
The term "open source" is now more widely used than the earlier term "free software" but has broadly the same meaning - free of distribution restrictions. Open source cultivates the spirit of open-sharing of ideas, knowledge and problem-solving and thus engage developers to take great ideas they have and freely give them away.
